Short story : Childhood in Malaysia
When I moved to Malaysia, i had no relatives there and my family had to adapt slowly. Since we dont really know Malaysia that well yet, my parents decide to put me in the kindergarten at our condominium. It was close, only a few floors below my level. It was Lil Beansprout Montessori. A chinese and english speaking kindergarten that i had to get used too. I often cried alot because i don't know both languages and it was strange to me, so my two year old brother had to accompany me so i wouldn't cry. But it was a good thing. I eventually started speaking and reading English books in no time
A few stories I remember during kindergarten was the frequent amount of times I was sent to stand in the corner either because I was noisy or couldn't understand a subject. It was a strict system as I would say. You can't talk or make too much noise when you are playing, you have to finish and understand a subject, you can't drink while you eat. As a child those limitations were a little nonlogical.
